Adding these key executive team members will enable the company to accelerate its AI-based technical leadership in narrative intelligence that safeguards brands and their executive teams from narrative attacks – what the World Economic Forum named the most significant global threat in 2025 for the second year.

“We have brought on Mark Oney, Mark Cox and Greg Young at a pivotal time as organizations face a new threat vector of risk from harmful narrative attacks that manipulate public perception, target executives, attack companies and erode brand trust within minutes, said Wasim Khaled, CEO and Co-founder of Blackbird.AI. “As we propel our mission forward, their strategic acumen, combined with their vast experience, will be instrumental in accelerating our growth, serving our customers, and achieving new heights of success for the company.”

In a recent Forrester Threat Intelligence Landscape Report, 2025, Blackbird.AI was the only notable vendor focused on protection against narrative (misinformation) attacks. They state that “AI is increasingly used to enhance threat intelligence but is also a source of new threats. AI-generated attacks will become more complex and lower the barrier for new threat actors. Convincing deepfakes and complex narrative attacks are harbingers of more sophisticated threats, driving the need to fight fire with fire. Defensively, AI-infused threat intelligence will be able to handle expanding data volumes, identify previously unknown relationships, extract finer contextual data points, and provide deeper multisource data infusion. Expect more automation with predictive analytics and targeted recommendations.”
