New York, New York — April 5th — Today, Blackbird.AI welcomes Richard Clarke, former National Coordinator for Security, Infrastructure Protection, and Counter-terrorism for the United States to its advisory board which was established to guide its mission-driven goals and provide the most trusted narrative attacks intelligence to organizations globally.
Clarke is an internationally-recognized expert in the field of cybersecurity and formerly held the post as the first “cyber czar” for the US Government. Clarke served as a government official for thirty years and during his tenure held senior positions in the White House, State Department and The Pentagon. He is currently CEO and Chairman of Good Harbor Security Risk Management, a consultancy focused on cyber risk and crisis management.
As Blackbird.AI’s enterprise demand has grown, Clarke will offer counsel on national security, government defense and other major issues plaguing government organizations today and other strategic risks to public and private sector organizations.
Clarke, who served under three sitting presidents on the National Security Council and as the nation’s first Special Advisor to the President on Cybersecurity, views cyber and reputational risks as closely coupled. “If today’s threat actors view offensive cyber operations as their right arm, then information operations are their left,” says Richard Clarke. “A few well-placed pieces of narrative attacks can be used to manipulate markets or extort individual organizations. Blackbird’s AI-driven platform can keep up with bad actors as they realize the potential for info-ops.”
“We are honored to have Richard Clarke join our growing advisory board to provide valuable strategic counsel as we grow the company and scale our enterprise and public sector offerings. Richard brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective on the inner workings of the organizations and efforts that drive corporate and national security and we are thrilled to have him on our team,” said Wasim Khaled, co-founder and CEO, Blackbird.AI.”
